Editorial Policy and AI Use
We use AI at Zolvelo openly and by clear rules. This page explains how an article gets from draft to publication.
1. Draft
The first draft of every article and quiz is prepared in Turkish with AI assistance. Each draft comes with a verification report listing every concrete claim (numbers, dates, names, scientific explanations) and its source. Points that are uncertain or where sources disagree are flagged separately.
2. Editor approval
No article goes live until an editor has read and approved it. The editor first reviews the verification report and checks the flagged points against their sources. Information that can’t be confirmed is removed or clearly marked as uncertain.
3. Translation
Once the Turkish original is approved, it is translated into other languages. Every translation passes an automatic check: the number of paragraphs and subheadings, numbers, dates, proper names, links and image credits are compared with the original. A translation that fails the check is not published. Quizzes are not translated word for word; they are adapted for readers in each language.
4. Images
Every image shows its owner and licence underneath. For share images we only use freely licensed (CC0) images or images we made ourselves.
5. Mistakes
If you spot a mistake, let us know. We correct confirmed mistakes and add a note at the end of the article for significant corrections.
6. Publishing pace
To protect quality, we publish less but check more. Every article ends with the note: “This article was prepared with AI assistance and reviewed by an editor.”
